Finally a good night of rest for everyone! Much needed.
Thank you for the prayers. It is
getting closer to camp now and becoming very real. Today was mostly a day of prep. It started out with a team meeting at 10:00
AM. It was nice to talk about our trip
so far and process everything we have seen and done. We learned from the death camps that it may
be hard for Poles to believe in a God that would allow such a terrible thing in
their history. We have a lot working
against us, but we also know God is in control.
We later had lunch at the church where we met our Polish
counterparts. Very fun to meet other
Christians halfway around the world. We
planned out the camp schedule and practiced the camp dance. Grandpa Carl threw out his hip on the
flashback move. In all serious, the Poles
picked up on the dance quicker than we did and it should be fun to have
everyone do it at camp.
Our afternoon was filled with more prep work, cards, and a
ping-pong tournament. It turns out we
have a professional ping-pong player among us.
Everyone has been taking turns trying to beat him to no avail.
Supper was provided by a Polish family from the church and
then we got to help set up for a wedding.
That is right, not only are we going to a wedding tomorrow, but we also
got to help set up for it tonight.
Camp starts tomorrow after the wedding. We could use prayers for nerves to be calmed,
hearts to be open, and that God can work through us all. We could also use prayers for continued good
health, rest, and good spirits. Things
have been great so far. Can’t wait to
tell you all about everything in person.
