Cześć from Skoczow! It’s Sunday night and we had a fantastic
day. Our team got up this morning and went to church with our Polish teammates.
I think it’s kind of cool that our friends in Poland go to church in a
community center just like we used to, but they have a disco ball. The Polish
people were all so nice and came up to welcome us to their church. The worship
was so beautiful to me being sung in two languages at one time. After Church we
went to the square in Skoczow and had ice cream. It was super good and a lot of
fun.
Camp started a bit late today since we had church and we
pretty much ate lunch then went right into English lessons. We had our first
day of workshops which consisted of sports, archery, and zentangle……Deb your
not supposed to talk during zentangle! After workshops we had our evening
program. Lilli and Emily did an excellent job with the ice breaker and we
played a fun game which was basically a rock, paper, scissors tournament.
Paulette as usual wowed us with her super positive hilarious team color points
update. Kon and Emily both shared a story around faith and then Kon, Kris,
Emily, Maciek, and Michał led us in some awesome worship. Abby preached on the
paralyzed man at pool at Bethesda and how if we have faith Jesus can heal our body
and most importantly our souls. The Polish team met with their small groups
with the campers while we prayed. The Polish youth group has so much love for
Jesus and it’s such an honor to be a part of it. That pretty much wrapped up
the day at camp.
On our way back from camp we made our typical stop at the
Tesco (I think we have now tried every kind of Polish chip) and Carl bought
another backpack full of Lion bars. We had a wonderful spaghetti dinner
prepared for us by the great people from the Polish church. We then met to
review each aspect of our day at camp with our Polish teammates. Until tomorrow
dzien dobry!
You were singing in 2 languages & Les had us singing a brand new worship song this morning. Singing to the Lord is always amazing. We also blessed the Detroit team as they prepare to leave.
ReplyDeleteMay God continue to bless each of you as you walk in obedience with Him, sharing your faith.
"Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts."
