Camp Day 3 from Emily Espeseth!

Today was our first full day of English camp, and we are exhausted! It was a day filled with activities and games. Thankfully only one of the campers ended up I the hospital.….No worries, it wasn’t from the game “Chaos Ball” (although several people got injured from that too), but from a pair of scissors! To say the least, it was a very eventful day.
Our day started out with English classes. It has been so great getting to build relationships with the youth. They have already started to open up so much in lessons and conversations. A lot of us have been surprised by all of the unexpected moments that we have been able to have with the campers. It has also been very inspiring to get to work with the Polish youth leaders. Their passion is contagious and they put their best foot forward in everything that they do.

My favorite part of the day was the evening program. Many of us have been sharing our faith stories and testimonies that go along with the message. I think that this has been helping the campers open up a lot, and think about how our stories might be similar to theirs. A few campers have even told some of us how our stories spoke to them, and that has been very encouraging to hear! God’s presence is evident here, and I’m so thankful that he is working through all of us. Thank you for all of your prayers, please continue to pray for strength as we have a field trip tomorrow followed by four more days of English camp!
